Schaeffler AG Maintains "Buy" Rating Despite Q3 Challenges

Quirin Privatbank Kapitalmarktgeschäft has reaffirmed a "Buy" recommendation for Schaeffler AG following its Q3 results. Despite solid organic growth and an adjusted EBIT margin of 4.5%, a EUR 165 million impairment charge, mainly due to software license losses, negatively affected the bottom line. Schaeffler reported a net loss of EUR 223 million for the first nine months of 2025, a significant deviation from the previously expected positive net result. Looking forward, the company is projected to return to profitability by 2026 with a net income estimate of EUR 573 million.

Schaeffler has outlined a strategic focus to strengthen its position in the market. By leveraging its strong order book in E-Mobility and Powertrain/Chassis, the company aims to enhance operational efficiency and optimize capital allocation. These measures are expected to support margin expansion and facilitate sustained growth in the competitive mobility sector. The firm's current weak trading volumes, however, pose a challenge in attracting larger institutional investors. Nevertheless, the target price remains stable at EUR 7.50.
