Schletter Powers Central Europe's Largest Agri-PV Project

Schletter International B.V. has announced the completion of Central Europe's largest agrivoltaics project in Burgenland, Austria, with a peak output of 164 megawatts. The project, developed by Burgenland Energie, utilizes Schletter’s single-axis Tracking System 2V, highlighting the synergy between agriculture and renewable energy.

A total of 260,000 photovoltaic modules were installed across 180 hectares. Schletter's system allows over 75% of the land to remain arable, with the capability for "cultivation mode" adjustments via smartphone, optimizing the integration of agriculture and solar power. This innovative project serves as a potential model for future Agri-PV developments.

The project also includes a biodiversity strip to support local fauna, contributing positively to local ecosystems. The system was designed for easy dismantling, ensuring minimal environmental impact at the end of its service life.
