SCHOTT Pharma Opens New Production Facility in Serbia

SCHOTT Pharma has unveiled its latest manufacturing facility in Jagodina, Serbia, following a significant investment. After less than 1.5 years of construction, the site began glass ampoule production, creating around 180 jobs by the end of 2025. This expansion aims to boost competitiveness in drug containment solutions amidst rising global tariffs and closures of other European glass ampoule manufacturers.

The new Serbian facility will address European market demands, specializing in glass ampoules for injectable medications such as analgesics and anesthetics. It leverages modern technology and inspection systems to ensure high-quality production. SCHOTT Pharma's facility is a key addition to its 15-country global network, enhancing its provision of safe injection solutions globally.
