Sendero Resources Concludes 2024 Drilling at Peñas Negras Project
Sendero Resources Corp. has announced the final results from its initial diamond drilling program at the Peñas Negras Project in the Vicuña District, La Rioja, Argentina. The exploration focused on two drill holes, PNDH007 and PNDH008, part of a broader campaign targeting copper and gold mineralization.
Drill hole PNDH007 did not yield significant mineral findings, encountering pervasive alteration and intense fracturing, leading to its abandonment at 95 meters. In contrast, PNDH008 recorded anomalous gold and silver from surface to 20 meters, aligning with argillic alteration. Below this zone, geochemical analysis revealed copper anomalies within phyllic alteration.
Sendero's Peñas Negras project spans a 120km2 area rich in porphyry deposits, situated in a prolific metallogenic belt known for its large-scale mineralization.
