Sendero Resources Expands Vicuña District Land Through Option Agreement with EMSE
Sendero Resources Corp., a company focused on copper-gold exploration, has announced entering into an option agreement with Energía y Minerales - Sociedad del Estado (EMSE) aimed at increasing its land position in the Vicuña District. This agreement, dated March 4th, 2024, would enable Sendero to form a joint venture with EMSE, possessing an 80% ownership for Sendero. The joint venture aims to develop mineral concessions spanning approximately 9,177 hectares, adjacent to Sendero's Peñas Negras Project.
The joint venture's formation is dependent on Sendero fulfilling financial commitments totaling US$5,000,000 in staged payments from 2024 to 2027 and work expenditures of US$10,000,000 over four years on the combined land package. Additionally, EMSE will receive a one percent net smelter royalty on the Peñas Negras Project. Sendero's expansion into the Vicuña District is seen as a strategic move to capitalize on the area's geological potential, with the company anticipating significant economic and social benefits for the region.
