SES's O3b mPOWER System Achieves Top Sustainability Rating

SES's O3b mPOWER system has received a Platinum Space Sustainability Rating (SSR), marking the highest possible award from the SSR Association. This is in recognition of the constellation's sustainability, assessed across deployment, operations, and end-of-life disposal. The constellation, consisting of 13 high-throughput, low-latency satellites, with eight already in orbit, achieved this rating based on over 65 parameters.

The SSR evaluates the collective sustainability impact of an entire constellation, considering interactions and contributions to the space environment. SES is only the second operator to earn this rating, highlighting its commitment to sustainable space operations and international best practices.
