Seven2 Bolsters German Asset Management Consolidation
Munich/Düsseldorf, April 17, 2025 – Seven2 GmbH announces a strategic move in the German asset management sector. Its prospective portfolio company, HKR LUNIS, is set to merge with Grossbötzl, Schmitz & Partner, a well-established wealth management firm based in Düsseldorf. This merger will boost HKR LUNIS's assets under management to approximately €7.5 billion, marking a significant progression in the consolidation of the independent asset managers' market in Germany.
The merger is part of Seven2's broader strategy following its majority acquisition of HKR LUNIS, announced in March. The transaction completion is pending regulatory approvals, expected in the fourth quarter of 2025. Grossbötzl, Schmitz & Partner, serving since 1986, enhances this alliance with its strong market presence and reliability.
The collaboration represents a proactive step toward addressing market fragmentation not only in Germany but also in Austria and Switzerland. Seven2 is open to additional external growth through collaborations with independent financial service providers in the DACH region.
