SFC Energy AG Secures Key Order for Hydrogen Fuel Cells in Denmark

SFC Energy AG, a leader in fuel cell technology, has obtained a significant order from Norlys Fibernet A/S to supply hydrogen fuel cells for telecom infrastructure in Denmark. These fuel cells will power critical data nodes and support sustainable, reliable energy supply for Norlys’s fibre optic network.
This marks the first major order for SFC's new subsidiary, SFC Energy Denmark, established in 2024. The contract involves a total installation capacity of 235 kW, encompassing EFOY Hydrogen 5.0 Fuel Cells integrated into EFOY H2Rack systems. The order delivery is scheduled between August and December 2025.
Norlys Fibernet has opted for hydrogen over traditional diesel generators for its higher environmental benefits and lower maintenance needs. The move aligns with their ESG strategy by promoting climate-neutral solutions and ensuring uninterrupted service during power outages. The collaboration underscores SFC Energy AG’s strategic growth in Scandinavia, leveraging technology acquired from Ballard Power Systems.
