ShanghaiEye Event Bridges Cultures in Washington D.C.
On October 3, 2026, "Future Resonance — ShanghaiEye Night" brought the essence of Shanghai to the National Mall in Washington D.C. This cultural event was part of the "Shanghai Let's Meet" city promotion initiative aimed at enhancing China-U.S. people-to-people exchanges. Organized by Shanghai Media Group, the event gathered nearly 100 prominent figures from both countries, including Song Jiongming, President of Shanghai Media Group, and Susan Lee, Secretary of State of Maryland.
The National Mall was transformed into a "mini Shanghai," featuring 50 stalls of international cuisine, cultural heritage displays, and innovative technology exhibits. Notable attractions included the C919 passenger jet model and a virtual journey of Shanghai's history through VR headsets. A concert featuring artists from both nations celebrated cultural collaboration.
The event concluded with a dialogue session themed "Invest in China for a Win-Win Future," showcasing Shanghai's business and cultural prowess while fostering high-level cooperation. This gathering marked a significant step in strengthening cultural ties and economic dialogue between the two nations.
