Ship Angel Secures $5M to Enhance AI-Powered Operating System for Shippers
Ship Angel Inc. has raised $5 million in funding to expand its AI-native platform designed for international shippers. This funding was co-led by Glasswing Ventures and Newark Venture Partners, with participation from Bienville Capital, Socii Capital, and Plug and Play.
The company announced two new AI-powered modules, Contract Amendment Guard and Invoice Audit, to optimize supply chain performance. These tools aim to automate rate management processes, reducing human error and saving considerable time and cost for Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs).
The global shipping market, projected to grow 7% annually to reach $4.2 trillion by 2031, has been plagued by manual data management and a 30% invoice error rate. Ship Angel's solutions address these inefficiencies directly.
Graham Parker, CEO of Ship Angel, highlighted the transformative potential of their AI-native SaaS solutions, stating that traditional methods are inadequate for today's complex and unpredictable logistics environment.
Both Rudina Seseri of Glasswing Ventures and Thomas Wisniewski of Newark Venture Partners praised Ship Angel's innovative approach to digital shipping, noting its potential to significantly improve BCO operations and industry standards.
