Silencio Secures USD 2.5 Million to Expand DePIN Sensor Network
Advanced Blockchain AG has announced that its portfolio company Silencio has garnered an additional USD 2.5 million in seed funding. The funding aims to expand Silencio's global Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) sensor network. Notable investors include peaq, Blockchange Ventures, Borderless Capital, and Moonrock Capital.
The resources will enable Silencio to enhance its network of noise sensors globally. Currently, it operates over 410,000 sensors across 180 countries, generating the largest database of public noise levels with more than 22.5 billion data sets. Interest from partners like Google and AWS highlights the demand for decentralized data solutions.
Hatem Elsayed, COO of Advanced Blockchain AG, views Silencio as a pioneering example of blockchain addressing real-world issues. The funding marks a strategic investment in transformative technology with long-term benefits. Silencio plans to broaden its capabilities to include mobile network coverage and hearing tests.
