Skeena Resources Prevails in Supreme Court Decision

Skeena Resources Limited has announced a favorable judgment from the Supreme Court of Canada. The court rejected the appeals of Richard Mill and Orogenic Gold Corp., affirming Skeena's ownership of mineral rights contained in the Albino Lake Storage Facility at Eskay Creek. The dispute, previously ruled in favor of Skeena by the B.C. Court of Appeal in July 2024, will now return to the Gold Commissioner for rehearing.
The original decision, which granted ownership rights to Mill, was deemed incorrect. Walter Coles, Executive Chairman of Skeena, expressed anticipation for the upcoming rehearing to confirm Skeena's exclusive ownership. The rehearing is expected to be completed by Q4 2025. The materials at Albino Lake are not part of Skeena's current resource statements for Eskay Creek.
