Ski holidays 2025: financially advantageous options for families
Bank Cler AG, in collaboration with BAK Economics, has published a study on the prices of ski holidays in Switzerland for 2025. Good news for families: their overall spending for a week of winter sports has fallen by 4%. This stability is accompanied by slight decreases in ski pass prices, although overall costs have increased by 6% for all holidaymakers. However, price disparities between destinations remain significant, with Zermatt, St. Moritz and Verbier among the most expensive.
Accommodation also benefits from price dynamics. For families, accommodation costs have decreased by 5%, while couples and students have to face increases of 20% and 10% respectively. Ski equipment has seen its prices decrease slightly, while ski school rates have increased by 1%.
In short, flexibility and early booking pay off. Families can get great deals by planning early or being flexible with their destination and accommodation choices. Less central destinations often promise better deals, especially when booked at the last minute.
