ATHA Energy Discovers High-Grade Uranium at Lac 50 Northwest
ATHA Energy Corp has announced a significant uranium discovery along the Lac 50 Corridor in Nunavut, Canada. As part of their 2026 Angilak Exploration Program, the company identified high-grade uranium mineralization along a 4 km strike from the main Lac 50 Deposit area. Drill hole L50W-DD-002 intersected 11.5 meters of composite uranium across five zones, with a notable 1.6 meters of high-grade mineralization.
The discovery is hosted in brecciated basalts, featuring quartz-carbonate veining. The outcome confirms the potential of the entire 4 km strike length between the new Lac 50 Northwest Discovery and the Lac 50 Deposit. This represents ATHA's sixth discovery in 15 months at the Angilak Project.
The 2026 drilling includes 20,000 meters planned using three rigs, along with an aerial geophysics campaign. ATHA aims to expand on previous successes, exploring new corridors with high potential for uranium mineralization.
