Slowdown at ATEME in the First Quarter of 2024
The ATEME company published its turnover for the first quarter of 2024, with a significant reduction of 35%, totaling 17.7 million euros. This decline is mainly explained by the absence of renewal of a major contract in North America. However, the situation seems stable if we exclude this exceptional event of the previous year.
In detail, performance varies significantly by region: while EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) records an increase of 38%, reaching almost 9 million euros, the United States and Canada see their revenues fall by 69% because of this non-renewal. Latin America and Asia Pacific are also seeing changes with an increase of 34% and a reduction of 37% respectively.
Meanwhile, the latest NAB Show in Las Vegas highlighted ATEME's growing reputation in the media industry, particularly through its AI innovations in OTT broadcasting. Additionally, strategic partnerships with cloud leaders such as AWS, Google and Microsoft look promising for the future.
Consequently, despite a mixed start to the year, ATEME confirms its financial objectives for 2024, targeting an increase in its EBITDA and monthly recurring revenues, supported by technological cooperations and strict cost management.
