SMA Solar Technology AG Announces Outstanding Preliminary Results for Fiscal Year 2023

SMA Solar Technology AG has released preliminary unaudited figures for fiscal year 2023, revealing a dramatic increase in its sales and EBITDA. Revenue climbed 78.6% to €1,904.1 million, while EBITDA improved from €70 million to €311 million. This positive performance is attributed to high demand for SMA products and a normalization of the delivery situation since the beginning of the year.

The group also announced its forecasts for the 2024 fiscal year, anticipating sales between 1,950 and 2,220 million euros and an EBITDA of between 220 and 290 million euros, despite an increase in market volatility. The success in 2023 was particularly marked in the large plant and project solutions segment, where SMA achieved significant gains in sales and profits.

Net profits increased to 225.7 million euros and the order book remains high at 1,705 million euros as of December 31, 2023. SMA attributes its exceptional performance to strong demand for its products, good capacity production and delivery capacity. Preliminary results are awaiting review by the auditor.
