SMARTments Connect launches its first residence in Frankfurt

February 22, 2024 marked the opening of the first SMARTments Connect property in Frankfurt, located in the City-East district. Owned by GBI Group, this new line of products offers 128 serviced apartments, including communal kitchens on each floor, targeting young professionals and tourists looking to socialize. The property also includes 17 apartments with private kitchens, whose occupants can nevertheless use the shared kitchens. SMARTments' approach aims to meet the specific needs of the younger generation, seeking more than just accommodation during temporary stays for projects or business trips.

The prime location in the east of the city ensures excellent access to public transportation, providing easy connections to Frankfurt's main attractions. GBI Group's initiative to offer serviced apartments is accompanied by a special focus on shared workspaces and events promoting integration and networking within the residence. This opening marks a significant milestone for GBI Group, which plans to expand its SMARTments offering with new properties scheduled for the years to come, underlining the company's commitment to innovate in the temporary accommodation sector.

The economic success of this division, asserted even in the context of the covid-19 pandemic, is attributed to an efficient digital strategy allowing for the automated management of all standard operations, and to a significant increase in room revenue in 2023. These results suggest a positive market reception and significant growth potential for SMARTments and the serviced apartment concept in Europe.
