Solitario Discovers Three New Multi-Gram Gold Zones at Golden Crest
Solitario Resources Corp. revealed the discovery of three new high-grade gold zones at its Golden Crest project. Named Holland, Top Dollar, and Wildcat, these areas preliminary rock sampling yielded impressive gold values up to 57.9 grams per tonne. Spread across four square kilometers, these zones add promising prospects to the area.
The final surface results of the 2023 season, encompassing 203 samples, showed consistent high-grade gold presence, with significant quantities exceeding 0.2 grams per tonne. Chris Herald, CEO of Solitario, expressed excitement over these findings, suggesting the possibility of these zones merging into a larger mining target. Exploration, supported by the Mission Canyon Limestone belt, will continue with further mapping planned for 2024.
The new findings are part of Solitario’s extended Golden Crest property in South Dakota. The project, not part of the historic Homestake-Wharf district, benefits from robust local infrastructure and a skilled workforce, contributing to its development potential. Solitario plans to begin drilling in early June, following the encouraging assay results.
