Solitario Resources Discovers Gold in First Golden Crest Drilling
Solitario Resources Corp. announced significant gold discoveries from the first three core holes drilled at its Golden Crest Project in South Dakota. Results showed substantial mineralization, including high-grade gold intercepts. Hole GC-001 revealed 32.0 meters averaging 1.7 g/t gold, with a notable 14.2-meter segment at 3.1 g/t gold. Hole GC-003 recorded 26.4 meters averaging 2.6 g/t gold, including a 14.4-meter section at 4.2 g/t gold.
CEO Chris Herald highlighted the potential of these findings to indicate a new gold district extension. Only two out of ten high-potential target areas are being tested this year, with further drilling planned for 2025. The company aims to explore various promising targets across its 35,000-acre property.
The Downpour prospect, where all three holes were drilled from the same platform, shows a favorable brecciated evaporite stratigraphic horizon with significant silicification and hydrothermal alteration. Solitario plans additional drilling to determine the extent and continuity of the mineralization.
