South Pacific Metals Completes Anga Gold-Copper Project Field Exploration Program; New Shear Zone of Interest Discovered with Assays Pending
South Pacific Metals Corp. (TSXV:SPMC)(FSE:6J00) has successfully completed its exploration program at the Irinke Prospect within its Anga Gold-Copper Project. The project is situated 4 km northeast along strike from K92 Mining's Arakompa vein system, currently being drilled.
The program identified a significant Shear Zone of interest, exposing a sulfide-bearing shear zone over 17 m by 2 m. This discovery exhibits geological similarities to the Arakompa lode gold-copper-silver vein. A 30 cm wide gold-carbonate vein, which returned 2.28 g/t gold from 2022 sampling, has been extended 24 m upstream.
A total of 169 soil samples and 68 rock chip samples have been sent for assay. The results will help in determining potential drill targets and assessing further regional exploration opportunities. The existing mineralized footprint of the project has shown multiple prospects, suggesting the potential for a buried porphyry system.
SPMC's Anga project covers an area known for its rich mineralization. The company continues to engage with local communities to ensure support for ongoing fieldwork.
