South Pacific Metals Corp. Announces Board of Directors Reshuffling

South Pacific Metals Corp. (TSXV:SPMC; FSE:6J00), announced key changes to its Board of Directors. Cathy Fitzgerald has been appointed as an independent, non-executive director, and Michael Murphy has been named the Executive Chairman of the company, both appointments effective immediately.

Cathy Fitzgerald, an experienced geologist and executive, brings over 20 years of expertise in technical and strategic roles in the mineral exploration sector. She currently holds a position at Apollo Silver Corp. Her past experience includes roles at Ivanhoe Electric and High Power Exploration. Fitzgerald is expected to play a significant role in shaping the company's exploration strategies. Concurrently, David Loretto has stepped down from his director role.

Michael Murphy, the new Executive Chairman, has a rich background in the metals and mining industry, including previous significant roles at Torex Gold Resources Inc. and various financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse.
