S&P Global Ratings Revises CNP Assurances’ Rating to « A »; Outlook Stable
S&P Global Ratings has announced the revision of CNP Assurances’ long-term issuer credit rating from «A+» to «A». The outlook has been adjusted from negative to stable. The downgrade also affects the issue ratings on CNP Assurances’ debt, lowered by one notch.
This follows actions on the French government’s rating, impacting La Poste Group, La Banque Postale, and its subsidiary CNP Assurances. S&P stated the lower-rated parent, La Poste, constrains CNP Assurances' rating, positioning it below its 'a+' stand-alone credit profile (SACP).
S&P expects CNP Assurances to maintain strong capital and earnings, with capital adequacy exceeding the highest 99.99% confidence level according to their risk-based model.
