Sparta Group Nears Completion of Annual Financial Filings
Sparta Group (TSXV:SAY), a company based in Toronto, has reported nearing completion of its annual financial statements and plans to file them by April 29, 2024. This update follows a previous announcement on February 8, 2024, about a delay due to an order from the Alberta Securities Commission for a Management Cease Trade Order (MCTO). The initial delay was attributed to the unexpected passing of a key officer, John O'Bireck, which necessitated a management transition.
The company had previously noted the need for an extension so the auditor could complete a final review of their Annual Filings, which include financial statements and management's discussion and analysis for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2023. The Alberta Securities Commission has agreed to this extension, allowing Sparta until the new deadline to submit the required documents.
As the audit committee gears up to review these documents, trading of the company's securities by major executives remains restricted under the MCTO, although regular trading continues. Sparta Group is also preparing for the launch of its TruckSuite™ mobile app, anticipating a productive period ahead once the MCTO is lifted.
