Springer Nature Reports Robust Growth in Early 2025

Springer Nature AG & Co. KGaA has reported strong financial results for the first nine months of 2025. The company achieved a 5.9% underlying revenue growth, totaling €1,428.7 million, driven by a successful performance in its Research segment.

The adjusted operating profit escalated by 9.9% to €408.3 million. Key contributors included product mix improvements and efficiency initiatives. Free cash flow also surged, increasing by €103 million to €175 million, with the leverage ratio settling at 1.9x.

In Research, revenue reached €1,112.6 million, exhibiting a 7.0% growth. The segment saw a significant rise in published articles, particularly in Full Open Access journals. The Health and Education sectors also reported revenue growth, despite challenges in advertising revenue and foreign currency impacts.

Springer Nature remains confident in meeting its 2025 financial guidance, projecting revenue between €1,930 million and €1,960 million.
