ST Telemedia Global Data Centres Releases 2023 ESG Report, Achieves Key Interim Environmental Targets Ahead of Schedule
On World Environment Day, ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC) announced the release of its 2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report. The report highlights the company's progress toward its sustainability goals, notably achieving 62.5% renewable energy usage across its operations three years ahead of schedule.
STT GDC aims for carbon-neutral data centre operations by 2030. The 2023 ESG report shows significant progress in environmental targets, including a 45.6% reduction in carbon intensity from the 2021 baseline and an 18.2% improvement in Water Usage Effectiveness year-on-year.
Socially, STT GDC reported zero work-related serious injuries or fatalities since 2020. Additionally, multiple offices received the Great Place to Work certification in 2023. The Women@Work Development Programme was also initiated to empower women employees.
The company maintains top-tier business ethics and has zero tolerance for corruption, with 100% of employees completing anti-corruption training. Almost 50% of STT GDC's data centres are certified as Green Buildings, contributing to its sustainability goals.
