Stepstone Group Extends Sponsorship with FC Viktoria Berlin's Women's Team

The digital recruiting platform, Stepstone, has announced the continuation of its main sponsorship with FC Viktoria Berlin’s first women's football team until the summer of 2025. This decision marks another year of partnership, aiming to support the team’s ambition to reach the 1st Women's Bundesliga within five years. Stepstone has been a steadfast supporter of the team for the past two years, alongside notable figures such as Verena Pausder and Franziska van Almsick. The company’s CFO, Thorsten Otte, expressed their commitment to fostering equal opportunities in sports.

Under the sponsorship, significant strides have been made towards professionalizing the women's team, resulting in improved facilities, medical care, and the introduction of fair salaries - accomplishments that head coach Dennis Galleski deeply appreciates. With the goal of achieving greater professionalization, the team also secured a championship title and advanced to the round of 16 in the DFB Cup, demonstrating substantial progress towards their Bundesliga aspirations.

Looking forward, the collaboration between Stepstone and FC Viktoria Berlin is set to introduce further initiatives aimed at boosting the visibility and professional standards of women's soccer. Verena Pausder highlighted the synergy between the two parties and their shared vision for promoting change within the sports landscape for women. This extended partnership is a significant move towards leveling the playing field in women's soccer, not just in Berlin, but potentially influencing the broader German sports scene.
