Stillwater Critical Minerals Engages MTS for Mineral Resource Update
Stillwater Critical Minerals Corp. has contracted Mine Technical Services to update the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Stillwater West project in Montana. This update is expected by the first half of 2026 and aims to advance the project as a key source of U.S. critical minerals. The site hosts a range of essential metals, including nickel, copper, cobalt, and various platinum group elements.
Building on insights from the Platreef district, the MRE will integrate recent drilling data, enhancing the project's potential. The update incorporates 14 new drill holes from campaigns conducted in 2023 and 2025. This work is guided by experts who have previous experience with Ivanhoe Mines' Platreef Mine.
Stillwater West's current MRE outlines significant resources critical to clean energy and defense sectors. The project's scope holds promise amid U.S. initiatives to secure domestic mineral supplies vital for technology and energy transition.
