Stillwater Critical Minerals Launches Geophysical Survey at Stillwater West Project
Vancouver-based Stillwater Critical Minerals Corp. (TSXV:PGE)(OTCQB:PGEZF)(FSE:J0G) has initiated its 2024 field activities at the Stillwater West Ni-PGE-Cu-Co + Au project in Montana. The activities include an extensive airborne electro-magnetic geophysical survey.
Expert Geophysics Ltd. has been contracted to perform a combined time-domain electromagnetic survey and a magneto-telluric survey using advanced airborne EM technologies. This property-wide survey will cover approximately 1,069 line-kilometers, improving on previous surveys' resolution and depth.
The survey has been designed in collaboration with Glencore plc to fine-tune drill targets and identify additional conductive targets across the 61-square-kilometer property. This initiative is part of a broader program aimed at updating the mineral resource estimate and preparing for potential production scenarios.
President and CEO Michael Rowley expressed optimism about the new survey’s potential to expand the resource area and enhance understanding of the mineralized zones. Vice-President of Exploration, Dr. Danie Grobler, highlighted the importance of the survey's data in refining high-grade nickel-copper-PGE sulphide-hosted mineralization targets.
Upcoming events include presentations by Michael Rowley at the Precious Metals Summit in Beaver Creek and Zurich later this year.
