STMicroelectronics and TSE join forces for abundant solar energy in France

STMicroelectronics and TSE have entered into a 15-year strategic partnership to supply ST's French sites with solar energy. This contract, worth 780 GWh, will be based on three solar farms totaling 43 MW, operational from 2027. ST aims to achieve carbon neutrality and cover its renewable energy needs by 2027.

This PPA marks a further step towards ST's decarbonization goals, strengthening the contribution of renewable energies in key activities such as R&D and integrated circuit manufacturing. Mathieu Debonnet, from TSE, emphasizes the importance of reconciling energy ambition with industrial needs to guarantee sovereign and competitive energy in France.
