Stock price chart of Sto AG (EBR:STO3) showing fluctuations.

In the first half of 2025, Sto SE & Co. KGaA experienced a 2.3% decline in consolidated turnover, totaling EUR 777.1 million. The contraction is attributed to increased pricing pressure and macroeconomic uncertainties affecting the construction industry. The earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) dropped by 13.7% to EUR 25.3 million, while earnings before taxes (EBT) fell by 15.5% to EUR 25.6 million.

The Group's turnover decrease was most pronounced in Western Europe, down by 3.4%. However, Northern/Eastern Europe saw a slight growth of 1.3%. In America/Asia/Pacific, turnover increased by 1.2%, mainly due to contributions from Central and South America. The workforce saw a decrease of 250 employees, reflecting cost-cutting measures.

Despite challenges, the group maintains its 2025 forecast, expecting annual turnover of EUR 1.57 billion and EBIT between EUR 51 million and EUR 71 million. The impact of Germany’s Special Fund for Infrastructure remains uncertain, with potential positive effects anticipated from the 2026 financial year.
