Strong Operational Growth for Knorr-Bremse
Knorr-Bremse AG, a leader in braking and safety systems, reported stable order intake at €6.2 billion for the first nine months of 2024. The order book reached €7.1 billion, showcasing strong demand, particularly in the rail division. Operating EBIT rose by 13.5% to €724.8 million, with an increased margin of 12.3%. Free cash flow saw significant growth, now at €248 million.
The BOOST 2026 strategy program, including the acquisition of Alstom's signaling technology in North America, progresses well. CEO Marc Llistosella highlighted resilience amid geopolitical tensions and praised the rail division's crisis-proof capabilities. CFO Frank Weber noted strengthened profitability and a successful long-term green bond refinancing.
Knorr-Bremse adjusted its 2024 guidance slightly upward, projecting revenues of €7.8 to €8.1 billion, and expects an EBIT margin of 11.5% to 13.0%.
