Summer 2024 Jazz Intensive Program Launched by New York Jazz Workshop
The New York Jazz Workshop has announced its Summer 2024 Jazz Intensive lineup, offering a broad spectrum of musical intensives for both aspiring and seasoned musicians. The workshop presents a unique opportunity for participants to gain comprehensive jazz training and performance experience across various locations, including an overseas improvisation workshop in Italy and several intensive sessions in New York City. Esteemed jazz musicians such as Sean Conly, Kenny Wessel, Marc Mommaas, and Vanderlei Pereira are among the faculty for these sessions.
Beginning with the improvisational workshop in Italy, running from June 9 to 22, participants can immerse themselves in the fusion of cultural exchange and jazz mastery amidst picturesque Italian landscapes. Following this, a series of New York-based intensives are scheduled from July 16 through August 23, covering various jazz disciplines from Bebop and guitar intricacies to vocal and piano techniques, and the vibrant rhythms of Brazilian music.
These intensive courses, priced between $465 and $625, are designed to cater to musicians and singers at all skill levels, promising an enriching experience that emphasizes both theoretical understanding and practical application. In addition to summer intensives, the New York Jazz Workshop offers year-round educational programs through weekly workshops and private lessons to foster continuous musical growth and development.
With limited spaces available, interested musicians are encouraged to secure their spots for a summer filled with learning and discovery. This initiative underlines the New York Jazz Workshop’s commitment to providing quality jazz education and nurturing the talents of musicians globally.
