Sun Peak Metals Completes Initial 2024 Drill Program at the Shire Project
VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / June 20, 2024 / Sun Peak Metals Corp. ("Sun Peak") has concluded the initial 2024 drill program on the Shire Project in Ethiopia. The program consisted of 24 diamond drill holes over 5,236 meters on the Terer and Hamlo VMS Targets. Results are expected in July.
A total of 12 diamond drill holes were drilled at both targets—Terer VMS (2,660m) and Hamlo VMS (2,576m). Core samples have been sent to the lab for analysis. Prospecting, mapping, and sampling efforts will continue throughout the rainy season, with drilling set to resume in Q4 2024.
"The team efficiently and safely finished the initial drilling phase on time and budget," said Greg Davis, Sun Peak's President and CEO. He looks forward to the assay results and their interpretation in July.
The Terer and Hamlo targets lie within the Anguda VMS System area, extending over a 20km by 10km zone. The next drill program is expected to start post-rainy season in October.
