Sundance Institute and Gold House Reveal Second Cohort of Filmmakers Fund

The Sundance Institute and Gold House have announced the second cohort of the "One House Filmmakers Fund," aimed at supporting filmmakers from underrepresented communities. Funded by the East West Bank Foundation, this initiative provides crucial financial support and educational resources to these filmmakers.

A celebratory event was held on October 26, 2024, at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. This soiree not only announced the grantees but also allowed them to pitch their projects to potential financiers and distributors. The 2024 cohort features a diverse slate of filmmakers, including Pierre Coleman for "Ricky" and Angela Tucker for "The Inquisitor," among others. This initiative comes in light of the ongoing representation gaps highlighted by UCLA's Hollywood Diversity Report, which underscores the need for more diversity in film-making.
