Sustainable Reality 2024: Shaping the Future of HPC and AI at Bletchley Park

Leaders in High Performance Computing (HPC) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) from the UK and Europe will gather on September 25, 2024, at Bletchley Park. The event will explore supercomputing and AI advancements in a historic setting.

Alces Flight announced the theme "Move the Needle" for their second Sustainable Reality event. This theme emphasizes individual contributions to achieving shared goals. Cristin Merritt of Alces Flight highlighted the event's aim to exchange ideas and develop action plans.

Attendees will enjoy immersive experiences and sessions with speakers from the University of York, University of Cambridge, Red Hat, and more. Topics will include building AI superclusters and leveraging commercial support to reduce security risks. The day will also feature hands-on Enigma machine demonstrations and guided Bletchley Park tours.

Sustainable Reality will conclude with a focus on the Move the Needle project, a 12-month initiative with Women in HPC, promoting inclusivity and sustainability in the HPC field.
