Swiss Merchant Group Takes Legal Action Amid EVAN Group Insolvency
Swiss Merchant Group AG has announced its intent to pursue a legal claim concerning the insolvency of EVAN Group PLC. The claim follows the opening of insolvency proceedings by an appointed administrator on July 17, 2025, at the Düsseldorf court.
The insolvency stems from an incorrect submission by the law firm GÖRG Rechtsanwälte Gemeinschaft that allegedly reported a failed restructuring plan against Swiss Merchant Group AG's interests. This misstep reportedly caused financial harm to the Group.
As Swiss Merchant Group AG seeks to recover damages, they also aim to represent EVAN bondholders in an upcoming meeting on September 12, 2025. Bondholders are encouraged to seek representation information via email.
