Swiss Steel Group Achieves Top 'A' Rating in CDP Climate Change Assessment

On April 4, 2025, Swiss Steel Group, based in Emmenbrücke, announced it has received the top "A" grade in the CDP Climate Change Rating. This places the company among only four steel manufacturers globally to achieve this top rating in 2024, and among the highest-rated out of nearly 25,000 participants.

The Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) validated Swiss Steel Group's decarbonization targets, a key factor in achieving the high rating. The company improved its ratings from "C" in 2022 to "B" in 2023, finally reaching "A" in 2024.

This rating underscores the group's commitment to environmental transparency, a critical factor for business partners and investors who now incorporate CDP data into their assessments. Swiss Steel is using this process to prepare for future regulatory requirements, such as the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
