SXG Confirms New 135-Metre-Wide Gold-Antimony Discovery Beneath Golden Dyke Historic Mine
Mawson Gold Limited has announced a significant gold-antimony discovery by Southern Cross Gold Ltd. The discovery was made 100 to 150 meters below the largest historic mine at the Sunday Creek Gold-Antimony Project in Victoria, Australia.
The highlighted drill hole SDDSC130 revealed the development of a third large mineralized body beneath Golden Dyke. This new discovery is situated 260 meters and 600 meters west of the Rising Sun and Apollo mineralized bodies, respectively. The drilling intersected seven high-grade vein sets over a 230 meter interval.
The significant findings include 11.9 meters at 5.3 g/t AuEq, 12.6 meters at 8.0 g/t AuEq, and 8.7 meters at 4.6 g/t AuEq. This discovery is crucial as it demonstrates the continuity and potential expansion of the Sunday Creek system. SDDSC130 is open both up and down dip, with additional drilling planned to further delineate the mineralized area.
