Sylvia Plath Collection Coming to New York Antiquarian Book Fair
At the New York Antiquarian Book Fair, Type Punch Matrix, a rare book company, will showcase over two dozen items related to Sylvia Plath. The fair takes place from April 4th to 7th at the Park Avenue Armory. This collection includes manuscripts, original art, first editions, and personal effects of the renowned poet and author of THE BELL JAR.
Highlights of the exhibit include a copy of Karl Jaspers's TRAGEDY IS NOT ENOUGH, annotated by Plath, and her signed contract for SEVENTEEN magazine. Also featured are original artworks and a unique poem from her youth. These items offer a glimpse into Plath's life and creative process.
The collection, which was previously in the private hands of a friend of Plath’s mother, brings together significant pieces from her career. This exhibit aims to provide an intimate look at Plath’s work and inspire interest in collecting. Visitors can find Type Punch Matrix at booth A35.
