SYNLAB AG Reports Cyber-Attack Impact on Operations in Italy

SYNLAB AG, the diagnostics company listed under SYAB on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, has been severely impacted by a cyber-attack targeting its Italian branch. The cyber-incident was identified early on April 18, 2024, prompting immediate deactivation of all IT systems in Italy as per the company's IT security procedures. This rapid response has led to a significant suspension of SYNLAB's operations across the region.

In response to the attack, SYNLAB has formed a task force consisting of both internal and external cyber security experts. Their aim is to mitigate effects, restore IT operations, and resume full services in Italy as quickly as possible.
