Tanmeyah signs agreement for AML 30000 certification with COFICERT

Tanmeyah, a subsidiary of EFG Holding and a major player in financial services in Egypt, has entered into a certification agreement with COFICERT France. This move aims to obtain AML 30000 certification, an international standard for combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

This partnership is a crucial step for Tanmeyah, strengthening its position in the microfinance sector. This initiative supported by the International Group for Sustainable Finance (IGSF) underlines their commitment to ethical financial practices. The certification is expected to improve their AML-CFT system.

Jinu Johnson, CEO of Tanmeyah, believes that this commitment is essential to strengthen the credibility of the company and protect the vulnerable people it supports. Cristian Mocanu, Secretary General of COFICERT, welcomed this initiative, which could serve as an example for the Egyptian financial sector.
