TARS Unveils Advanced Robotics at ICRA 2026

Embodied AI company TARS has introduced its cutting-edge DexHand technology at ICRA 2026 in Vienna. The DexHand, a dexterous hand with 21 degrees of freedom, is designed to align human-centric data, using micro-cameras and elastomer tactile sensors to capture intricate details. Powered by TARS' AWE 3.0 model, it interprets tactile data to perform precise and varied hand gestures.

Additionally, TARS' A1 robot, utilizing DexHand and AWE 3.0, showcases complex task performance, including multi-step packing and live error correction in wire harness insertion. These demonstrations highlight TARS' commitment to developing general-purpose robots capable of executing real-world tasks autonomously.

Dr. Ding Wenchao, TARS' Co-Founder, will further discuss these innovations during an industry keynote. The company boasts a strong research foundation, with a majority of its team possessing advanced degrees, having published extensively in robotics fields.
