TDG Gold Unveils Promising Assay Results from Baker Tailings
TDG Gold Corp has reported positive assay results from the Phase 1 drilling of the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF1) near the Baker Mill in BC. The 15 boreholes revealed an aggregate grade of 1.00 g/t gold and 46 g/t silver. TSF1 contains approximately 265,000 metric tonnes of historic tailings from Baker and Shasta mines.
Two distinct strata were identified within TSF1, with higher grade material at the base. One significant borehole reported 3.5 meters of 1.92 g/t gold and 82 g/t silver. These results align with historical production data. A smaller TSF2 site, containing 50,000 MT of tailings, is slated for future analysis.
TDG is exploring dry-stack tailings storage options within its mineral tenure area. Preliminary studies have identified potential locations for future tailings management. The assay results support TDG's initiatives for the cleanup and remediation of historical mining impacts.
