Technip Energies and KBR selected for major LNG project by Lake Charles LNG
Technip Energies and KBR, together in the joint venture KTJV, have been selected by Lake Charles LNG for a major engineering, procurement, manufacturing and construction (EPFC) project. The project, subject to Lake Charles LNG’s final investment decision, will transform the Lake Charles LNG import and regasification terminal into an LNG export facility, located in Louisiana.
Once the conversion is complete, the facility, with a capacity of 16.45 million tonnes per year (Mtpa), will become one of the largest LNG facilities in the United States. The contract includes the construction of three modular LNG trains of 5.5 Mtpa each, the modification of storage facilities and various other services.
Arnaud Pieton, CEO of Technip Energies, expressed his satisfaction with this selection, highlighting the importance of infrastructure in the global expansion of LNG supply. Tom Mason, President of Lake Charles LNG, also expressed his enthusiasm for this strategic collaboration.
