Stadler Chooses Technotrans for New Train Cooling Systems

Stadler has selected Technotrans SE to supply cooling systems for its next-generation intercity trains, intended for use in the Middle East. The order is valued in the mid-single-digit million-euro range and involves ten trains. These customized cooling systems are designed to operate effectively in desert climates, ensuring optimal train performance through an active 50-kilowatt converter cooling system. This innovation, featuring a compressor refrigeration unit, marks a first for Technotrans.

The trains, 179 meters long and accommodating 313 passengers, meet European and international standards. Technotrans has integrated the cooling system to manage not only converters but also diesel fuel and electronic components. The collaboration with Stadler builds on years of thermal management expertise, reinforcing the partnership between the companies.
