Telekom Austria's A1 Group Reports Q1 2025 Results
Telekom Austria's A1 Group reported a 3.7% increase in total revenue for the first quarter of 2025. Both service and equipment revenues saw gains, with all markets except Austria experiencing growth in service revenues. EBITDA rose by 5.2%, or 8.1% excluding restructuring costs, which were EUR 15 million higher compared to the previous year.
Operating expenses, excluding restructuring, decreased by 1.6%, contributing to a healthy free cash flow generation of EUR 153 million. The company recorded an 8.4% year-over-year increase in mobile subscribers and a 1.8% rise in Revenue Generating Units (RGUs). Notably, fixed broadband and TV RGUs grew by 2.6% and 7.5%, respectively.
Additionally, A1 Group launched a competence delivery center for B2B digital services. The outlook for 2025 remains positive with an expected total revenue growth of 2-3%, and CAPEX excluding spectrum projected at around EUR 800 million.
