SUBCON Thailand Generates $705 Million in Trade

SUBCON Thailand, ASEAN's prominent industrial sourcing expo, concluded its 20th edition by recording approximately USD 705.5 million in parts trade. The event, held from May 13-16 in Bangkok, drew over 50,000 participants and achieved more than 9,600 business matchings. Co-organized by the Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), the Thai Subcontracting Promotion Association, and Informa Markets Thailand, the expo aimed to expand industrial partnerships across Southeast Asia.

The expo provided a platform for global manufacturers to connect with Thai entrepreneurs. Mr. Narit Therdsteerasukdi of BOI emphasized the expo's role in integrating Thai businesses into global supply chains, especially in sectors like AI, semiconductors, and automation. Feedback highlighted successful business matchings and confidence in Thai manufacturers' international competitiveness.

Future editions of SUBCON aim to broaden their scope, enhancing connections in AI, modern vehicles, and logistics. This initiative aligns with BOI's vision to strengthen Thailand's position in global manufacturing networks.
