The 16th China (Liuyang) International Fireworks Cultural Festival Celebrated with Great Enthusiasm

From September 14 to 15, the 16th China (Liuyang) International Fireworks Cultural Festival was successfully held in Liuyang. Tens of thousands of visitors gathered along the brilliantly lit Liuyang River to admire the visual spectacle of the fireworks.

This year’s festival introduced eight thematic activities. By enhancing industrial linkage through "fireworks +" and offering an immersive consumer experience, it also featured a free viewing area for the first time. Tourists enjoyed the fireworks, visited the night market, and experienced the unique charm, boosting the night economy. On the evening of September 14, nearly 100,000 fireworks products and over 8,500 fireworks shells were launched, filling the city with light and colors.

The Liuyang Fireworks Conference (LFC), a top global competition and key platform for industry exchanges, was a highlight. Four world-class teams from the Netherlands, New Zealand, the Philippines, and Canada competed, displaying new arrangement creativity and performance art. The Canadian team won the championship, followed by the Netherlands, with the Philippines and New Zealand securing excellent prizes.

In recent years, Liuyang has focused on transforming and upgrading the fireworks industry. By integrating "fireworks +", enhancing brand value, and promoting "tour the countryside during the day, watch fireworks at night" leisure mode, Liuyang has become the world's largest production and trade base for fireworks, with an industrial output value exceeding RMB 50 billion in 2023.
