The 2024 US Open Women's Polo Championship: Triumph and Charitable Commitment
The US Polo Assn. has once again supported the 2024 US Open Women's Polo Championship, a major event for women's polo in the United States. Taking place from February 3 to 23, 2024, the championship saw eight teams compete, a record in recent years, to win the coveted trophy. The final, broadcast live by ESPN on February 29, crowned the Buena Vibra team, led by captain Milly Hine, who also received the title of MVP of the final.
In addition to the spectacular sporting level, the US Polo Assn. marked this event with a charitable gesture, by making donations to equestrian and polo organizations chosen by the finalist teams. Buena Vibra selected Replay Polo, while Team 90210 opted for Work to Ride, highlighting the association's commitment not only to women's polo but also to the broader equestrian community.
The tournament was also an opportunity to highlight gender equality in the sport, where women and men compete side by side, and the dynamism of women's polo in the United States. USPA Global President and CEO J. Michael Prince highlighted the excellence and contribution of female athletes to this high-performance sport.
