The EPC Group secures a key contract for the Lyon-Turin Euralpine Tunnel
The construction of the Lyon-Turin Euralpine Tunnel (TELT) is progressing with the award of a new contract to the EPC Group for the supply of pyrotechnic products and on-site explosive manufacturing. This large-scale project, aiming to link Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne to Bussoleno via a twin-tube base tunnel, is making significant progress. The cross-border section of this new railway line, spanning 67 km, aims to strengthen connections between France and Italy.
Following the contracts for lots CO6 and CO7, the EPC Group has been selected once again for its expertise in underground works. This contract, for lot CO8, will involve the explosive excavation of approximately 4 km of tunnel. With a forecast of more than 400,000 m3 of rock to be extracted, the works, estimated at over 3 million euros, will take place from March to October 2024.
The EPC Group, known for its expertise in the manufacture of civil explosives and present in around twenty countries worldwide, confirms its position as a leader in underground works and the mastery of explosive techniques for civil engineering.
